　　影片改编自漫威于1998年出版的同名漫画。 

　　故事设定在一个融合东西方文化（旧金山+东京）的虚构大都市旧京山（San Fransokyo）中，一名精通机器人的天才神童小宏与充气机器人大白无意间发现，自己生活的城市正遭遇一场犯罪危机，小宏必须联合大白向好友“超疾快递”神行御姐、“飞刀厨神”芥末无疆、“化学女巫”哈妮柠檬以及“怪兽宅男”弗雷德寻求帮助。小宏下定决心要解开层层谜团、拯救全城，于是他将这队从未打击过犯罪的菜鸟小伙伴改造成了高科技英雄，“超能陆战队”应运而生……
